Opus 20

by Bryan on August 5, 2010

After months of editing, and redesigning, opus 20 has arrived. The organ will be housed in a case of cherry. The arc accents in the upper-work are made of oak. The paneling on the bottom of the case is contrasting stained woods. The case layout from the front is as follows: the outer two towers house the pedal division, and some of the great division; the low-center division is the positiv; the great is housed on either side of the positiv; the swell is housed above the positiv. The organ needs to be housed in a large room to be effective. The organ has a large en chamade stop that speaks into the room over the organ. The instrument’s stoplist is designed to accomplish all types of repertoire. Though the organ is designed in a french style on most divisions, the positiv has a German sound, so can be used to accompany with the light stops, but can also become a German great division if the expression pedal is open. The French pedal, great, and swell, can accomplish all repertoire, even German, if needed. Please enjoy the photos and stoplist in the links below….
