I visited the new John-Paul Buzard organ at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. The organ has 32 ranks across two manuals and pedal. The room has about 2-3 seconds of reverberation, making the organ sing in the sanctuary. The instrument is very versatile and can accomplish any repertoire; Romantic to Baroque to 20th Century. Some of the organ is prepared, but could be completed soon. The clear voicing makes hymn-singing easier and repertoire sound better. I can’t wait to hear the organ once it is completed, and I want to commend Mr. Buzard on his fine work at St. Andrews. Please see the photos page for pictures of this instrument.

I hope to go back. I might make a recording if I am allowed over the summer. Thanks, Bryan
This church is a fond memory for me. I was the sacrist, liturgist and organist there many years ago. We had a tired, poorly maintained 1910 7 rank Kimball. At that time the music was mostly acappella chant so the organ was not used much. I heard much later that they had had a fire in the location of the organ case which forced a decision, long overdue to establish a suitable organ in the fine acoustic they have. I am pleased to learn of the new Buzzard installation. I hope you will go over there and make us a demo video some day soon Bryan. {:-)
